Coffee was discovered in what is now known as Ethiopia. Kaldi, a goatherd, was said to have lived in the area's remote highlands.
He noticed his goats dancing and prancing one day after they had eaten the small, red fruit of a nearby shrub. Kaldi ate the coffee cherries so he wouldn't be left out of the fun, and soon he was dancing with his goats!
